Ted Hughes

Ted Hughes was born in Yorkshire. His first book, The Hawk In The Rain, was published in 1957. Since then he has published many volumes of poetry and prose including Wodwo, Wolfwatching, Difficulties of a Bridegroom, Tales from Ovid and Birthday Letters. He was appointed Poet Laureate in 1984. Ted Hughes died in 1998.
