Robert Drewe |
Robert Drewe was born in Melbourne and grew up on the West Australian coast. His novels and short stories have been widely translated, won many national and international prizes and been adapted for film, television, radio and the theatre.
He has also written plays, screenplays, journalism and film criticism and edited two international anthologies of short stories, including The Penguin Book of the City and The Penguin Book of the Beach. His novel The Drowner won seven major prizes in Australia, including the National Fiction Award. His most recent novel is Grace.
