Richard Rorty

Richard Rorty was educated at the University of Chicago and Yale. He has been Stuart Professor of Philosophy at Princeton University. He is now Professor Emeritus of Humanities at the University of Virginia and Professor of Comparative Literature at Stanford University. He is the author of Philosophy and The Mirror of Nature, Contingency, Irony and Solidarity and Achieving Our Country: Leftist Thought in Twentieth-Century America.
