Terry McMillan is the critically acclaimed author of Mama, Disappearing Acts, A Day Late and a Dollar Short, Waiting to Exhale, and How Stella Got Her Groove Back, (the last two of which have been turned into feature films). She is also the editor of Breaking the Ice: An Anthology of Contemporary African-American Fiction. She lives outside San Francisco.
