Penelope Murray |
Penelope Murray was born in Malaya in 1948, and was educated at Wycombe Abbey school and Newnham College, Cambridge. She held research posts at King's College, London, and St Anne's College, Oxford, and was a founder member of the department of Classics at the University of Warwick, where she is currently Senior Lecturer. She has written on a wide variety of topics in ancient literature, and her publications include Genius: The History of an Idea (1989) and Plato on Poetry (1996).
