Richard Wilhelm

Richard Wilhelm (1873-1930) lived in China for more than twenty years, coming into contact with some of the major Chinese intellectuals of the early twentieth century. Throughout his life he produced a steady stream of translations from Chinese, among the most notable being his translations of the I Ching and the TaoTe Ching, which are both published in the Arkana series.
