William Steig
William Steig was 61 when he published his first picture book, Roland The Minstrel Pig, in 1968. Since 1930 he has enjoyed a successful career as a cartoonist and cover designer for the New Yorker. He has continued to create distinguished picture books such as Sylvester And The Magic Pebble.
