David McKittrick

David McKittrick is the Ireland correspondent for the Independent. He received the Orwell Prize for Journalism in April 2000. In 1999 he was named Correspondent of the Year by the BBC's What the Papers Say.

David McKittrick and David McVea helped to produce the landmark book Lost Lives, which details the stories of all those who died as a result of the Troubles and which in 2001 received the prestigious Christopher Ewart-Biggs Memorial Prize for the promotion of peace and understanding in Ireland.
