James H. MacLean |
James H. MacLean was born in 1942 in Melbourne and has ten years' site experience, lastly as a site manager for Costain Construction in London. He worked in Paris for many years and wrote two dictionaries for translating building terms between French and English, which led him to meet John Scott. His dissertation for a master's degree in building, taken in Melbourne, was based on his book The Penguin Dictionary of Building. He now lives on Flinders Island in Tasmania.
