Spencer Wells |
Spencer Wells was born in 1969 and grew up in Texas, USA. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1994, and subsequently moved to Stanford University, where he worked with Luca Cavalli-Sforza. He then led the population genetics research group at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics at Oxford. After leaving Oxford, he served as Director of Population Genetics at an American biotechnology company. He holds a visiting appointment at Harvard School of Public Health. Dr Wells is author and co-author of over thirty scientific publications. He lives in East Anglia with his wife and two children.
