Dominic Greyer |
Dominic Greyer's fascination with strange place names began with his first ever family holiday, to a tiny village, named Boot, in Cumbria. Later, while touring Denmark, he posed for a photograph in front of a road sign to the town of Middelfart. It left an enduring impression. A decade and a half later Dominic Greyer again hit the road, this time as a fully fledged photographer intent on creating a series of photos of Britain's oddest place names. The result is the quirky, beautiful, quintessentially British book, Very Far from Dull.
