Synopsis

'Never having read novelist Lesley Pearse before, I was impressed by the enjoyable and easy read. As Daisy recovers from the grief of losing her adoptive mother, her journey leads her to discover her true parentage. The novel then details the lives of her mother and family, leading to an unexpected twist in the tale at the end which is of some surprise to the reader. I found the story to have a certain poignancy, especially since Daisy never does actually meet her true mother or know much of her true father. All in all, worth reading and I shall certainly read other novels by this author.'
