Synopsis
Arthur Dent's accidental association with that wholly remarkable book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has not been entirely without incident.
Arthur has travelled the length, breadth and depth of known, and unknown, space. He has stumbled forwards and backwards through time. He has been blown up, reassembled, cruelly imprisoned, horribly released and colourfully insulted more than is strictly necessary. And, of course, he has comprehensively failed to grasp the meaning of life, the universe and everything.
Arthur has, though, finally made it home to Earth. But that does not mean he has escaped his fate.
For Arthur's chances of getting his hands on a decent cuppa are evaporating along with the world's oceans. Because no sooner has he arrived than he finds out that Earth is about to be blown up . . . again.

I already am Arthur Dent.
If you were going to go intergalactic hitchhiking, what would you bring in your backpack (apart from your towel of course)?
MacBook. iPhone. A photo of a pizza and a hunting knife with needle and thread in the handle (see Firstblood).
Where were you when you first read the books and what was your first thought?
I was in the bathroom of the family home and my first thought was quite appropriate.
What music was you listening to when writing And Another Thing...?
The original soundtrack by Joby Talbot and a lot of Kate Bush which seemed to fit.
How would Artemis Fowl and Arthur Dent get on? How about Artemis and Zaphod?
Artemis would despise Arthur Dent and his lack of direction, and he would have replaced Zaphod as galactic president in a matter of weeks.
If you could ask Douglas Adams anything, what would that be?
Where did Trillian go and why.
What makes you panic?
Too many things to do at the same time. I am a typical man- instead of doing many things badly I like to do one thing in a mediocre fashion.
If alien hitchhikers landed here, where would you take them first?
I would take any aliens to a sci-fi convention. If they could handle that, then the rest of life on Earth should be no problem.
If you could be a character from And Another Thing..., who would you be?
I would be Thor. Nice hammer, ability to fly, adored on several worlds. Nice attributes.
