Synopsis
In a house haunted by memories, the past is everywhere … As darkness falls, a man caught in a snowstorm is forced to shelter at the strange, grim house Wuthering Heights. It is a place he will never forget. There he will come to learn the story of Cathy: how she was forced to choose between her well-meaning husband and the dangerous man she had loved since she was young. How her choice led to betrayal and terrible revenge - and continues to torment those in the present. How love can transgress authority, convention, even death. And how desire can kill.Reviews

'Wuthering Heights a classical romance story set in the English Yorkshire moors. Mr Earnshaw, a kind and honourable man adopted heathcliff- a desendant of a gypsy -. Mr Earnshaw''s son Hindley dispised Heathcliff however, his daughter Catherine (a headstrong argumentative young lady) fell in love him. One night in Heathcliff''s company, Catherine met a rich, young man named Edgar Linton, who belonged to a higher social class than her. She was enthralled with his lifestyle and immediately became besotted with him. Heathcliff accidentally overheard Catherine''s conversation with the maid, Ellen. Cathy admitted her love for Heathcliff, however she declared she could never marry him for it would lower her: in his rage Heathcliff ran away. Cathy was distraught and a few years later she gave up hope of him ever returning and married Edgar. Little did she know Heathcliff would come back with his revenge. This book was a fantastic read however my only criticism were there are very many characters and sometimes it''s hard to remember who''s who. '
