Synopsis
Annie and Duncan are a mid-thirties couple who have reached a fork in the road, realising their shared interest in the reclusive musician Tucker Crowe (in Duncan's case, an obsession rather than an interest) is not enough to hold them together any more. When Annie hates Tucker's 'new release', a terrible demo of his most famous album, it's the last straw - Duncan cheats on her and she promptly throws him out. Via an internet discussion forum, Annie's harsh opinion reaches Tucker himself, who couldn't agree more. He and Annie start an unlikely correspondence which teaches them both something about moving on from years of wasted time.
Nick Hornby's compelling new novel, four years after A Long Way Down, is about the nature of creativity and obsession, and how two lonely people can gradually find each other.

‘quietly subversive … it's Hornby doing what Hornby does best: demonstrating the emotional intelligence that has made him a best-seller, and telling some good jokes about the lies we tell each other, and the lies we tell ourselves’. GQ Magazine
‘Its likably bleak humour lies mostly in Hornby's pitch-perfect examination of male fandom and the almost sinister way in which the advent of the internet has fed and enabled it.’ Observer
‘This is a tremendously enjoyable book, one of the best I've read all year ... not only far better than any other Nick Hornby book I've read, it's far better than I imagined a Nick Hornby book could be … Clever and funny and sprightly and droll and very clear-eyed, Juliet, Naked is also a surprisingly profound piece of work.’ Irish Independent
‘Warm, funny and particularly insightful when it comes to relationships, and men and their obsessions.’ The Mirror
‘It’s good to have him back. Nick Hornby’s first adult novel in four years is a comic delight … I raced through Juliet, Naked, smirking frequently as Hornby skewered human idiocy, wincing when it reflected my own.’ Evening Standard
