'We are huge Peppa fans in this house. Another addition to the Peppa book collection and one that can be carried around all day in a little carrycase was a hard one to pass by. The books inside are in the non-linear narrative Peppa book tradition and to be honest I think something like the ''Peppa Story collection'' or one of the story books is better value. However if you already have those, this is just fine. It would have been nice to have had a grandpa or grandma Pig book though. I would be keen to get some background on them. As usual Daddy Pig gets a fairly rough ride and Mummy Pig is ''the wisest member of the family''. Serious Peppa Pig fans will gasp in horror as a picture showing some family members clearly in a garden is described as ''on Pirate Island''. "Nooooo!" exclaimed my son. "Pirate Island doesn''t have any grass". I have a feeling it''s the carrycase and the shaped character books which will have the long-term appeal ahead of the text itself.'
