Interview
Sandi Toksvig, who you might recognise from both radio and TV, has just finished recording Wilma's Wicked Spell, Kaye Umansky's magical children's tale, for Puffin Audiobooks. We asked Sandi, fresh from the studio, what it's like to give voice to a cast including frogs and enchanted pigs!

What attracted you to reading Wilma's Wicked Spell? I have read Kaye Umansky's work before and I am a huge fan. It is a great chance to do many silly voices.
Who was your favourite character from Wilma's Wicked Spell? Well it has to be Wilma herself. She is the star and I wouldn't dare say otherwise in case she decides to practise some magic on me.
Do you prepare in any special way before reading an audiobook, to get into character? I always mark each character in a different colour pen before I start. This makes me feel very naughty because usually you are not supposed to write in books. I also boil twelve eels and eat them with a grasshopper dressing.
If you were a witch, what would you call yourself?!? Spellbound Sandi
If you could perform one magic spell what would it be? I should magic up a pot of tea that never emptied but was always fresh.
