Work experience
The Penguin Group (UK) encourages people to undertake work experience and provides a number of opportunities in our business throughout the year. We offer 2 week placements in the following departments:
- DK Publicity (DK Pub)
- Penguin Press Publicity (Press Pub)
- Penguin General Publicity (Gen Pub)
- Rough Guides Publicity (RG Pub)
- Penguin Press Editorial (Press Ed)
As part of your work experience you will be expected to perform a range of tasks, which may include:
- general office duties
- taking enquiries from internal and external clients
- developing press releases
- researching publicity opportunities
- copy writing
- responding to readers letters and emails
Your manager will work to make sure that you do valuable work and get a real feel for what it is like to work in our business.
