loves a streamlined bathroom cabinet and can't be fussing with
ten different products when just one will do. There's no fuss about
what shampoo or bubble bath Aggie likes to use either, but she is
fussy about her tweezers and nail scissors - she's had both for
20 years!

Here's a few essential items from Aggie's grooming kit.

loves to be feminine and has given us the low-down on the tried and
tested grooming essentials she's used over the years, although she
readily admits she loves trying out new products too!

Take a look at some of the items that Kim keeps in her grooming kit.

Tweezers
I love tweezing, but I've never got around to those posh tweezers. I've got a pair in my Swiss Army Knife, which I always carry with me. At home I have ones with flat, thin ends which makes tweezing easier. For handiness in the bathroom, I always put my tweezers over the edge of the tooth mug. So when I see a stray hair I don't take my eyes off it for a second. I reach over for the tweezers and swipe - it's out!

Electric exfoliator
I can't be doing with any stubble on my legs, so I use one of those electric tweezers which plucks the hairs out at the roots. If I don't have time for that, I'd rather get a leg wax than a shave - it's painful, but I enjoy it in a funny way.

Razor
I once had my underarms waxed. It was like giving birth to oversized twins and I've never been brave enough to do it again. Now I use one of those lady's razors to do my underarms and bikini area. I get into such trouble if I ever use my husband's blade - he always knows.

Towels
Buy white only, so you can see if they're getting skanky. I love a rough towel, not those soft fluffy ones. I like a bit of abrasion on the skin, it's my Scottish upbringing. With a hard towel you get the blood going and feel zingy afterwards.

Nail scissors
I cut the nails of everyone in the house - I even do my husband's toenails. I use the nail scissors I've had for 20 years, the little dinky ones with a straight edge which I got in a DIY shop. They get right down into the cheesy bits in the corners, and it's so satisfying when it comes out in one chunk. I like the feeling of cutting off the nail in a long bit too - like peeling an orange in one go.

Toothpaste
I buy whatever's on special offer - everyone loves a bargain. My favourite is a pump action one. I know they're wasteful, but they're clean. With tubes you get too much gummy paste around the head of the nozzle. And then someone leaves the top off the tube and the germs get in. |

Nailbrush
I like a soft nailbrush. Hard ones are all right for engine drivers but I don't want them, thank you. Once a day I run the nailbrush over the toilet soap, slip it under my nails and give them a good clean. It's done in two seconds. I always rinse it out, then bang it on the site of the sink. You can clean behind your nails with wooden cocktail sticks, too, but it takes ages.

Pumice stone
Essential! You see women in sandals with grey, cracked heels - all they need to do is get the pumice stone out. At the very first sign of dry skin I pummy around the back of my heels and big toes in the bath, then slather on the cream and put a pair of old socks on top. An hour later your feet are lovely and soft.

Dental floss
It's stunning stuff, but I can't get into a habit with it. I use wooden cocktail sticks instead to get between my teeth. If I'm out in a restaurant it makes me sick to see the person opposite me sucking and picking at their teeth. Instead, I put my toothpick in my bag, pop to the loo and have a quiet dig around and pick any food out.

Bubble bath
Ooh, I love it. I have a bath every day and use a peach bubble bath. It's very creamy and good for dry skin. Afterwards, I rinse off in the shower to get rid of any soapy residue that could give you the itches.

Deodorant
I like a roll-on antiperspirant. One of those moist ones, not the thick, powdery ones that leave a white sticky mess all over your clothes. They are atrocious - whoever invented them ought to be shot.

Talcum powder
I love my talc. I like to pat it around my body every morning after my bath. It keeps you dry and smells lovely and feminine. |
