"I think this site is the best book site around. The best selection ever."
"Your website is very informative, and very easy to use, with the added chance of entering competitions I will always be a regular visitor"
"English is not my first language, so I like to read in English so not to lose it.
Here, as in many countries non-English speakers, the available choice, of books in non-virtual shops is very short.
Buying in Penguin is easy; the website is very usable and client-centred, the postage arrives very fast, and prizes are so competitive that is worth paying the transport."

"Hi thanks for your email I'm now the proud owner of Hope (by Lesley Pearse) and I'm waiting for the right time to start reading it. I know once I open the cover that will be me in a world of my own till I finish it."
The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters, subscription 2006
"Can I just say how much I loved The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters and how pleased I am that I took up a subscription to it via your email newsletter. It was a thrilling adventure each week from receiving the packet containing the next exciting adventure through my door complete with the emblazoned motto 'beware your dreams'. I thoroughly relished reading Miss Temples' adventures each week and could hardly wait for the next chapter to be delivered to me. But wait I did, as this was part of the charm of the subscription, however much you wanted to read the next chapter you had to wait until it was delivered.
The experience really made me realise what it would have been like to have read Dickens' and Wilkie Collins' novels in such instalments and I am dreading facing January without the Doctor, Cardinal Chang and Miss Temple for company. It was a thrilling series please pass on my comments to those that came up with the idea and of course the writer himself. Please can we have some more?"

"I think this site is the best book site around. The best selection ever."
"What a delight to read Over Hill and Dale by Gervase Phinn. Although I'm not what anybody would call an avid reader I was hooked from the start to the end, and then I find even more on your web page. It brought back many fond memories of 'Mr Phinn' teaching me English in the early 1980s, it was obvious to all us pupils how much he loved his job and how well suited he was to it. All I ask if for more, more, more, be it more on the web or more books. I look forward to his next publication."
"By far the best web site I've come across for a long time."
"Just had a look at your web-site and what can I say - impressive or what! Not to mention I just love Penguins."
"It is an excellent site with a huge variety. There is something here for everyone."
"It's a well layed out enjoyable website. I liked it."
"This is a fab website."
"Dear Madam/Sir, I am writing to congratulate Penguin on having produced a superb website which is truly worthy of such a fine publishing company. The most striking thing about the site for me is its elegance. It might seem slightly odd to be concerned about the aesthetic appeal of a website, but suffice it to say, the elegant lay-out of the Penguin site made browsing through it both enjoyable and easy. I was immensely pleased to discover that the site contained a history of Penguin, which I found incredibly enlightening. It did not come as a complete surprise to me to learn that Penguin was founded on essentially humane and egalitarian principles. Keep up the great work you do on behalf of your millions of admirers, myself included."
"Congratulations on your website. I especially like the navigation. The graphic design is a case of helping the reader navigate, it's not a case of graphics for graphic's sake."
"This is the first time I have been on your web site, and I would just like to say this is really easy to use! So many sites, even now, leave me feeling confused as to what is actually on them, but not this one. Straight away I found what I was looking for, no messing this time. The ease of use is wonderful, it's interesting too. Well worth more visits. Thanks very much."
"The web site goes from strength to strength. Comprehensive, beautiful and functional, the site delivers content in a way that one would expect of Penguin. The colour scheme is subtle, warm and doesn't distract. The layout is intelligent and easily navigable. By bringing together a range of sections and exclusive feature articles, the site is an endless pleasure that regularly draws me back. The amorphous delights of the Penguin company have been transformed into a truly apt online presence: congratulations and keep up the good work!"
"I love your website. I live in Australia, away from a big city and good book shops are hard to come by, so, surfing the web for books is the way to go. Penguin books has a particularly clear and easy to navigate web site, without fuss but with style and a personal touch."
"Your website is very informative, and very easy to use, with the added chance of entering competitions I will always be a regular visitor"
"Your new website is brilliant much better than the old one"
