Explanation of work
The main theme I recognised in the book was change. I wanted to create a cover which would reflect this notion of changing life phases whilst also breaking out of the restraints of the traditional ‘chick lit’ design, and attracting a more mature, sophisticated female audience. I chose to use layers of wallpaper to represent the theme, and feel that the resulting cover is suitably contemporary, classy and yet still feminine.
