Explanation of work
It is easy to fixate on the Greek and American university imagery associated with this novel; I wanted to create something new and unique. I decided to concentrate on the underlying issues of the book. In my design the dog/beast, with its nametag ‘Secret’, represents the underlying guilt connected to their terrible secret and its ferocity shows how it will rip them apart. The stitched line represents the trees of the wood, as well as how they are all linked by their awful secret.
