Explanation of work

What I attempted to interpret within my book cover was certain key elements of the story. My final cover shows Dionysus as a main character at the centre of the front cover as he plays a large part in the story. I also put a bunny within it, near the hand of the god, as though he is almost knocking the rabbit down. This symbolises the ritual to the god going so terribly wrong, and how Bunny’s realization of this leads to his demise. Further down the page I have reconstructed the letter Bunny sent to Julian requesting his help, as this is the key moment in the book when the group are discovered to have murdered him.
