Explanation of work
The majority of book covers for Donna Tartt’s The Secret History are focused on the imagery of Greek statues, which are relevant, but when you look closer you see there is a lot more to the story. I have chosen a broken glass to resemble how the characters tried to piece their lives back together after Bunny’s death, but really they are so fragile they could fall apart at any minute. I also thought the uncontrollable way a glass breaks compares to Bunny’s death in unique circumstances.
