Explanation of work
After reading The Secret History, my designs became informed by Tartt’s direct classical references and inventive use of symbolism. My imagery plays on the surreal and mystical atmosphere conveyed by Tartt, and highlights an important focus of the novel. I felt that the use of classical typography was the most effective way of complementing my visuals and transferring my inspirations from the book.
