how much alcohol is too much?

The medically recommended units of alcohol per week is 14 for women and 21 for men. One unit of alcohol is 10 ml by volume, or 8 g by weight, of pure alcohol. For example: A half-pint of average strength beer, cider, or lager (4-5% alcohol by volume) contains 1 unit. A small pub measure (25 ml) of spirits (40% alcohol by volume) contains 1 unit. A standard pub measure (35 ml) of spirits contains 11/2units. A small glass (125 ml) of average strength wine (12% alcohol by volume) contains one and a half units. Some people treat themselves like toxic waste dumps, loading themselves with unhealthy food choices that are difficult to digest. This creates toxins. Such toxins may strip the body of much needed nutrients. You end up feeling like a dishrag.
