Penguin Books: RSS feeds

RSS feeds

What is RSS?

RSS is an easy way for you to keep track of the latest news from your favourite websites in one convenient place.

RSS - which stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication - allows you to see the latest headlines from your favourite sites, and to then be able to click directly through to the articles that you want to read. Simple.

How do I get RSS

To get RSS Feeds you need to download something called a newsreader. This is a piece of software that checks RSS feeds and lets you read any articles that have been added to them. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications - you may need to register or subscribe to use your preferred service.
