Biography

Fergal Keane is one of the BBC's most distinguished correspondents, having worked in Northern Ireland, South Africa and Asia for the corporation. He has been named reporter of the year on television and radio, winning honours from the Royal Television Society and the Sony Radio Awards. He has also been named Reporter of the Year in the Amnesty International Press Awards and won the prize for best television report in the Hong Kong Human Rights Awards. He was awarded an OBE in the 1997 New Year's Honours List. He has written three other books, The Bondage of Fear, Letters Home and Season of Blood , winner of the 1995 Orwell Prize, all of which are published by Penguin.
