Congratulations to Tim Peake on winning a British Book Award last night for Non-Fiction Lifestyle Book of the Year for Hello, is this planet Earth?
Published by Century, the book was the result of three years of conversations between the publisher and Peake, but only took three months to go from the commissioning stage to bookshops around the country. The judges were impressed by Century's flexibility and ability to turn a book around quickly, as well as making a quality, coveted product which was both "awe-inspiring and educational".
Tim's first book contains a mesmerising collection of over 150 of his stunning photographs taken on board the International Space Station, many of which had never been seen before. Tim’s proceeds received from the book have been donated to The Prince’s Trust.
Congratulations should also go to all of our 21 nominees, including Michael Joseph, Penguin General and Transworld, who were all nominated for Publisher of the Year.
