Are you the next generation’s travel writer? Do you have a travel story to tell? Write it, draw it, photograph it and share it to be in with a chance of winning a travel kit from Moleskine and Vintage, and having your work published on Cereal.

Bruce Chatwin reinvented travel writing in the 1970s and 80s with books such as The Songlines and In Patagonia. Now it’s your turn.

30 years on from the publication of The Songlines, Vintage and Cereal, supported by Moleskine, are celebrating Chatwin’s work with a global contest for the innovative travel storytellers of today.

Are you a writer, photographer, sketcher, videomaker, blogger, or a combination of all these? Do you have a travel story to tell? Then we want to hear from you.

The winner will have their piece published on readcereal.com and will receive a Bruce Chatwin travel kit, including a library of Bruce Chatwin travel books, published by Vintage Classics, and travel-writing equipment from Moleskine. 

To enter the contest, submit a travel essay (1500 words max) with any supporting images, artwork and social media to chatwinproject@penguinrandomhouse.co.uk.

Deadline is Thursday 7th September 2017.
