‘To lose a passport was the least of one’s worries. To lose a notebook was a catastrophe’
30 years on from the publication of The Songlines, Vintage and Cereal, supported by Moleskine, are celebrating Chatwin’s work with a global contest for the innovative travel storytellers of today.
Are you a writer, photographer, sketcher, videomaker, blogger, or a combination of all these? Do you have a travel story to tell? Then we want to hear from you.
The winner will have their piece published on readcereal.com and will receive a Bruce Chatwin travel kit, including a library of Bruce Chatwin travel books, published by Vintage Classics, and travel-writing equipment from Moleskine.
To enter the contest, submit a travel essay (1500 words max) with any supporting images, artwork and social media to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline is Thursday 7th September 2017.
The competition has now closed; thank you to everyone who entered.
