Brecht Evens

The Making Of
  • The Making Of

  • Peterson, a moderately successful artist, is finally given a chance to shine at the Beerpoele biennial festival. However, upon arrving in the village, he realises the festival is a little more amateur and its organisers a little more laid-back than he had expected. Still hoping for his fifteen minutes of fame, Peterson takes matters into his own hands and tries to rally the other participants with a grandiose project. It will not go to plan.

The Making Of is a graphic novel like no other. It explodes from the confines of the page with the unique and unmistakable style that has made Brecht Evens an international sensation.

Belgian cartoonist Brecht Evens was born in 1986 and studied illustration in Ghent. Important mentors were his teacher Goele Dewanckel, an illustrator, and cartoonist/comedy-coach/zen master Randall Casaer. Brecht lives in Brussels, where he lives on illustration work and Flemish cartoonist-grants.
