About the author

Marika Gauci

Marika Gauci grew up in Cardiff, learning to cook with her Welsh mother and Greek father. Regular trips to Corfu as a child taught her about the importance of fresh ingredients and simplicity of flavours.

Marika moved to London with her Indie band in the 1990s and went on to produce and run music events all over London. In 2009 she set up Marika's Kitchen, a cookery school featuring the only pie-making classes in London.
