Applications have now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied.

For writers: As part of your application we'll ask you to tell us about your book. What's it called? What's it about? What makes it special?

We'll also ask you to send us up to 1,000 words – it could be the opening chapter, or a later section of your book which you’re particularly proud of. It's up to you.

For everyone: in 250 words, we will also ask you to tell us how you meet our criteria

Editors or designers from across Penguin Random House will assess your application, considering your talent and ability, as well as the originality of your story, idea or artwork.
