Head of Commercial Affairs
Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Sydney, I moved to London with the ambition of working in the creative industries. With a career spanning the music and entertainment industries, my aim has always been to help bring a creative idea to life by managing and influencing the financial aspects of the business and investment.
Publishing is a new area for me, however my experience has enabled me to quickly embrace the spirit of Transworld and PRH, which I am excited to be a part of. Always up for a commercial challenge, I am involved with the everyday cash flow management as well as forward planning and evaluation of new book proposals that the Transworld team undertake.
It is both challenging and rewarding to work with a team responsible for such a varied repertoire of publications, which makes the role so interesting as each day brings something new.
A book that left a deep impression on me: I read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho during a time when I was making career and life decisions. It inspired me to follow my instincts and realise that only I could make my own path.
Literary hero: is definitely Nick Cave. A fellow Australian, he is a true creative being an accomplished composer, singer/songwriter and author. His books and lyrics are both poetically dark and challenging – something I truly admire and treasure.
A book I’d recommend to everyone: The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. As a daily train commuter, I could really relate to this book and how easy it is to imagine what life is like on the other side of the fence.
