7 for Penguin Random House on the Man Booker Prize 2018 Longlist

The 2018 Man Booker longlist was announced today, with seven Penguin Random House titles in the running for the Prize, one of the highlights of the literary calendar.

In a particularly stellar year for Vintage, imprint Jonathan Cape has seen three titles featured on the list - along with their Associate Editor Robin Roberston’s debut novel in verse The Long Take (Picador) also included.

There were also nods for titles from TransworldCornerstone and Penguin General, with Donal Ryan's From a Low and Quiet Sea (published by Doubleday Ireland) being the first novel from an Irish imprint to make the longlist.

The Man Booker Prize for Fiction, first awarded in 1969, is open to writers of any nationality, writing in English and published in the UK and Ireland. The shortlist of six books will be announced on Thursday 20 September, with the winner being announced in October.
