How do you find a way forward when the world is holding you back?

Join four of Britain’s most successful creative entrepreneurs to be uplifted and inspired as they discuss how they cut their own paths to success and making a difference in the world. Hear how to create opportunities when they are not provided to you, how to build your supportive network, and your role in making a difference.

With the backdrop of Jeremiah Emmanuel BEM’s inspiring personal story, as detailed in his new book Dreaming in a Nightmare published by Stormzy’s #Merky Books, we will touch on justice, entrepreneurship, class, and social mobility, and the ways in which young people should be supported to thrive in our local communities. The event will hosted by Black Girl Fest’s Nicole Crentsil and a panel conversation with model and actress Eunice Olumide MBE, Jeremiah Emmanuel, and a special guest to be announced. There will also be a chance to ask the panel your questions, so make sure you have some at the ready!

The event celebrates the launch of Dreaming in a Nightmare. Raised in south London, Jeremiah Emmanuel lived in an area where crime and poverty were everywhere and opportunities to escape were rare. As he got older, he found a way to a different world: a place where people listened to you, where opinions were heard, where doors were opened, where there were opportunities around every corner. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the hopeful and inspiring story of how he and others did it, the people who helped and the huge hurdles they and a generation have to learn to face and overcome.

All tickets include a copy of Dreaming in a Nightmare (RRP £12.99) which will be posted to you following the event..
