  • Sorley MacLean was awarded the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry in 1990, and is regarded as the greatest Gaelic poet of the twentieth century. In this moving play, written to mark the centenary of MacLean's birth, a poet reflects upon a romantic encounter from his youth, which taught him the value of language and the nature of identity. Andrew Greig is a Scottish author, poet, playwright and musician. Among his radio credits are Found at Sea and Making Contact, one of the stories in Radio 4's 'The Mystery of the Hills' series.
