But then he finds a friend in Tommy the Cat and the Alderman’s daughter Alice Fitzwarren falls in love with him. It seems his luck is changing - until the evil King Rat threatens everything. Can the magical Spirit of the Bells put things right and help Dick achieve his heart’s desire?
