Chloe Davies is a practising psychotherapist. She grew up on a farm in Shropshire and now lives in Warwickshire with her partner and two young children. She has spent most of her adult life working in the human rights field in London. Blackthorn Winter, inspired by her relative Hilda Murrell, an anti-nuclear activist and rose-grower who was murdered in 1984, is her first book. She intends to pursue a long-term career as a writer, alongside her therapeutic work.
