The Courage to be Ordinary

FROM THE 10 MILLION-COPY BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE COURAGE TO BE DISLIKED

If I’m just plain and ordinary, is that something I can live with?

At one time or another, everyone has hoped that they are different to everyone else – that they are somehow special. Beneath that desire lies a constant, anxious comparison with others, which often prevents happiness without us even realising. How, then, can we free ourselves from this cycle of restless competition and find peace with who we are?

In this inspiring new book, Ichiro Kishimi explores a way of living that will free you from your unease, improve your confidence and help you live a happy life. Rather than striving to be ‘better’ than everyone else, Kishimi shows you how to focus solely on your own potential and accept who you are – without settling for a life of boredom.

Reading this book will not restore your confidence that you are special, yet by the end, you will have learned the secret to living free from the burden of judgement – both your own, and the opinions of others. Full of warmth and wisdom, this book is for anyone who has ever asked themselves whether they are enough.
