At Viking, I acquire across a range of commercial and upmarket fiction, predominantly crime and thriller, historical and general. I’m on the hunt for everything from rich, vivid historical escapes to propulsive dramas and high-octane, hooky thrillers. I’m particularly drawn to protagonists with a dark side and love complicated yet compelling narrative voices, especially those with a spiky sense of humour and a secretly warm heart.

I hope to publish stories that offer entertainment and an escape but also educate and move you. I relish working closely and collaboratively with authors on everything from the first edit to bigger picture career thinking. Previously I’ve published Jessie Cave, Wendy Holden, Freya North, L.V. Matthews, Emma Christie and Kate Gray.
