Teachers

Our books are found in classrooms around the world, supporting learning and discovery for people of all ages.

Reading for pleasure has been found to improve academic attainment, as well as boost mental wellbeing and empathy, and help young people discover and explore the world around them. In addition to the free teaching resources we offer for primary and secondary schools below, we also offer targeted support for schools through our Creative Responsibility programme.

Primary school pupils

Puffin Schools has a wealth of inspiring and stimulating resources for children of all ages: from EYFS through to primary and up to lower secondary school. Whether you’re looking for topical book lists, creative writing resources, display materials or videos starring the story-makers themselves, you’ll find all you need to bring stories to life at Puffin Schools.

Secondary school students

Our Penguin Talks series is aimed at secondary school students and features some of the world's leading thinkers and writers speaking on topics such as self-belief, the future of work, feminism, resistance & activism, and success & failure. Accompanying each talk are a number of resources designed to fit alongside the secondary school PSHE curriculum.
