Kimberley Young

I joined Penguin Random House as Managing Director of Transworld in March 2024. Publishing has always been my home—my career began as an assistant at Mills & Boon, and prior to Transworld I was the Managing Director and Publisher of HarperFiction. I love what I do, and I’m genuinely thrilled to be leading Transworld into its next era.

Over the past year, we’ve launched our new sci-fi and fantasy imprint, Wayward, and published our first titles under its banner. We’ve also welcomed some exceptional rising stars in publishing to lead our Fiction, SFF, and Non-Fiction teams. It’s an exciting time of creativity, growth, and fresh ideas.

At Transworld, we’re committed to delivering unmissable stories and ideas that entertain and inspire. It’s a privilege to work with such an incredible range of authors and to help bring their work to readers everywhere.

When I’m not immersed in books, you’ll most likely find me walking my little dog Harlyn, travelling with my husband, or unwinding with a spot of yoga.
