I mainly publish in the areas of history, biography, culture and politics, and especially love anything that’s a landmark work/series, that looks at a big subject in an intimate way, or that relates to everyday life.

I've published authors including Antony Beevor, Jonathan Dimbleby, His Holiness Pope Francis, Billie Jean King, Ben Macintyre, Joe Moran, James Nestor, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Haemin Sunim, and catalogue authors including George Mikes and Spike Milligan.

I love working with expert authors from the initial idea – around 50% of Viking’s non-fiction is commissioned pro-actively – to thinking about their next book.
