Baby Touch: Night-Night (2020)

Young babies sleep a lot. But sometimes even they need a little help settling down in the evening. Baby Touch: Night-Night is an interactive touch-and-feel book that let’s little ones say ‘night-night’ to all the sleepy animals, plants and vehicles. As you read along looking through the peepholes and stroking the touch-and-feel patches, the colours fade from light to dark until it’s time to say ‘night-night’ to your baby.

Hey Duggee: Bedtime Little Library (2020)

Hey Duggee fans can earn their badges and enjoy four mini tales before bed with this night-time collection! Although there’s no set order, we suggest starting with The Tooth Brushing Badge, then The Calming Down Badge, followed by The Story Badge and finally, The Sleeping Badge (the most important badge of them all). Children will love winding down with Hey Duggee and his friends.

Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Unicorn’s Birthday by Rhiannon Fielding & Chris Chatterton (2020)

Peppa Pig: Bedtime Little Library (2017)

Even the littlest of piggy’s need their beauty sleep. Peppa Pig fans will love this collection of mini-stories before bedtime. Featuring four sweet tales, little ones can join Peppa as she prepares to settle down for the night in Bath Time, Story Time, Bedtime and Dream Time. Plus, the back covers of these books can be turned into a pint-size jigsaw puzzle. Oink oink!

Pablo: Goodnight Pablo (2020)

Bedtime can be troubling for some children, especially for autistic children, no matter how tired they are. In Goodnight Pablo, Pablo and his friend Wren are scared of the dark and are worried that if they fall asleep they’ll disappear. Luckily, their friends Noa, Draff, Mouse and Llama show them they don’t need to be frightened as everyone will still be there in the morning. Even Tang who can’t stop snoring! Written by autistic writers and based on their own experiences, this is a lovely bedtime tale for all children.

Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Dinosaur by Rhiannon Fielding & Chris Chatterton (2020)

Another story from the Ten Minutes to Bed series, this one is ideal for wannabe palaeontologists. Rumble the dinosaur is having lots of fun exploring the jungle. There are muddy puddles to jump in, tropical birds flying around, and erupting volcanoes to watch! But even little dinosaurs need to go to sleep at some point. This lively tale comes to a gentle end as Rumble’s mum counts down to bedtime.

Peppa Pig: Peppa’s Countdown to Bedtime (2021)

It will be bedtime soon but Peppa Pig isn't tired. Luckily, Peppa has a game in mind to help her and George fall asleep. They're going to count ten things before bedtime! This is a lovely tale for every little piggy to drift off to! You could also play Peppa's game too if your little one is struggling to sleep.

Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Monster by Rhiannon Fielding & Chris Chatterton (2018)

Who doesn’t have a little monster on their hands when it comes to bedtime? And Belch is the most mischievous of monsters! It’s nearly time for bed but she’s on the prowl. Belch is slurping jelly, playing the trumpet, and having a sneaky monster ball with her friends. But the later it gets the sleepier Belch gets… This is a wonderfully calming story to help settle children down for bed.

Land of Nod: Panda’s Pyjamas (2016)

Settle babies and toddlers into bed with this charming story from the Land of Nod series. Panda can’t go to bed because she has lost her pyjamas! It’s up to a young boy and his teddy to help her find them so she can drift off to dreamland.

Is your toddler struggling to settle down at bedtime? The same goes for Igglepiggle! He just wants to stay up and play with his friends, however, they’re all getting ready for bed too. This beautifully illustrated board book is perfect for helping your little one quiet down at night.

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star: Ladybird Touch and Feel Rhymes (2016)

A perfect bedtime book, this nursery rhyme collection includes Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star; Wee Willie Winkie; Hush-a-bye, Baby; Hey Diddle Diddle and Rock-a-bye, Baby. As well as singing together, little ones will also enjoy exploring the different surfaces on every page, with sparkly stars, a glittery moon and a fleecy blanket to discover.
