3-step World Book Day costume hacks

Short on time to put together a costume for World Book Day? Here are our three-step hacks for dressing up as their favourite book character.

Daisy Wells or Hazel Wong (Murder Most Unladylike series)

You will need:

1.  A magnifying glass

2.  A printed Deepdean School crest

3.  A notebook to write all your detective case notes in

Greg Heffley or Rowley Jefferson (Diary of a Wimpy Kid series)

You will need:

1.  Black shorts and a white t-shirt

2.  A printed Greg or Rowley mask

3.  Backpack for Greg OR ‘Zoo-wee mama!’ written on the t-shirt for Rowley!

Percy Jackson or Annabeth Chase (Percy Jackson series)

You will need:

1.  An orange t-shirt with ‘Camp Half-Blood’ written on it

2.  Trainers or converse

3.  Your demigod weapon of choice e.g. a toy sword or shield!

Lucy Dungston (The Creakers)

You will need:

1.  Denim dungarees and a white t-shirt

2.  Goggles

3.  Torch

Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl series)

You will need:

1.  White shirt and black trousers

2.  Black tie

3.  Sunglasses

Ella Brook (Mummy Fairy and Me series)

You will need:

1.  White top

2.  Blue dungarees (dress or trousers!)

3.  Striped tights or socks (if you don’t have these to hand, try making your own by drawing on stripes!)
