Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding are the founder members of comedy troupe The Mighty Boosh. They became friends after appearing on the same comedy bill at a North London pub. The duo went on to perform three Edinburgh Fringe shows, The Mighty Boosh (1998, winner of a Perrier Award for Best Newcomer), Arctic Boosh (1999) and Autoboosh (2000). These led to a hit BBC Radio series - broadcast on BBC London Live, BBC Radio 4 and later BBC 7 - and subsequently a highly successful TV show which ran for three series between 2004 and 2007. After several tours in 2006 and 2008-2009, Barratt and Fielding decided to take a break from the Boosh, but they reunited to play a live show at Festival Supreme in Santa Monica, California in October 2013.
