Pretty As A Picture
  • Pretty As A Picture

  • In the pivotal moments of history the little man is inevitably written out of the history books. Whatever happened to Cleopatra's milkman, Einstein's postman, Michelangelo's model or Shakespeare's gardener? Just maybe there was more going on behind the scenes than we could ever imagine. Writer Heidi Regan takes us behind the scenes for an alternative look at a great historical moment through the eyes of an unexpected - and, until now - overlooked witness who was there too. It's history - but not quite as we know it! 'Pretty as a Picture', read by Raphael Koeb, is set during the Tudor period, and sees beauty and truth collide when a young assistant accompanies a master painter on an important royal commission. Produced by Heather Larmour.

Heidi Regan is an Australian comedian, sketch writer and screenwriter. She won the 2016 'So You Think You're Funny?' competition at the Edinburgh Fringe, and has also received considerable acclaim for her writing. Her radio plays include Pretty as a Picture.
