Andrew Maxwell hosts the comedy show featuring stand-ups from all over the planet streaming live to an audience in London
In this groundbreaking series, comedians from all around the globe perform from wherever they happen to be, and their set is streamed via high quality phone lines and internet video to an audience in the BBC Radio Theatre, London. Host Andrew Maxwell, a multiple Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and BBC Radio 4 regular, keeps the gags and chat flowing as we chuckle along to stand-up stars in Indonesia, Russia, Argentina, China, South Africa, Singapore, Serbia, Italy, Dubai - and more.
Among the cornucopia of up-and-coming comic talent are Rehman Akhtar,Orlando Baxter, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Guy Branum, Eliana La Casa, Sharul Channa, Berit Companjen, Fabrizio Copano, Francesco De Carlo, Sakdiyah Ma'ruf, Igor Meerson, Aparna Nancherla, Tats Nzonzo, Al Pitcher, Omar Ramzi, Nikola Silic, Steph Tisdell, Tin Vodopivec and Storm Xu.
There's also Carl Joshua Ncube, 'the biggest Zimbabwean stand-up comedian in the world', Kansiime Anne, the 'Queen of African Comedy', Maysoon Zayid, one of America's first Muslim women comedians, and world-renowned satirist Bassem Youssef, who explains why he had to move to Los Angeles from his native Egypt (spoiler: it turns out dictators don't like you making jokes about them).
