Ben Dark is a landscape historian, award-winning broadcaster and former head gardener. He holds a degree in history from University of Bristol and an MA in Garden and Landscape History form the University of London's Institute of Historical Research. He also studied horticulture at Capel Manor College, before completing a traineeship at the Garden Museum. He is the author of The Grove: A Nature Odyssey in 19 1/2 Front Gardens (‘the best gardening book of 2022’ Telegraph) and creator and host of the award-winning Garden Log and Dear Gardener podcasts. In 2022 he won Journalist of the Year at the Garden Media Guild awards for his magazine journalism.
